Service in Action

Milestone Pantry grew out of a simple belief, if we have the ability to help, we have the responsibility to act. Our founder, a U.S. Army retired veteran and Covina business owner, saw neighbors quietly skipping meals and felt called to respond. That sense of duty shaped a pantry that runs on structure, respect, and follow through, so families can count on steady support instead of short term fixes.

Hyper-Local Care

We focus our energy on Covina and nearby San Gabriel Valley neighborhoods, which allows us to know families by name and story. Instead of stretching across distant regions, we stay close to home and build real relationships with the people we serve, volunteers, and partners. That closeness helps us spot gaps quickly, respond faster, and offer steady support that feels more like community than charity for our neighbors.

Beyond Food

Our work starts with groceries, however it does not end there. Weekly distribution, mobile pantry visits, and emergency food relief cover urgent needs, while food recovery and nutrition education look after tomorrow. We rescue quality surplus food, share fresh local produce, and offer simple workshops so families can stretch every ingredient. This mix of relief, sustainability, and learning helps our community grow stronger and healthier together in Covina.

Meet Raymond Philips

Raymond Philips is a U.S. Army retired veteran and longtime Covina business owner who has always believed that service does not end when the uniform comes off. Growing a business in Covina opened his eyes to how many neighbors were quietly facing empty cupboards. That reality, paired with his belief that if we can help, we must act, became the spark for Milestone Pantry.

Raymond brings structure, clear communication, and deep respect for people's dignity into every part of our work. He leads by example, showing up, listening first, and treating every family, volunteer, and donor like a partner in a shared mission.

Under his guidance, we keep our focus close to home and our standards high, so Covina families can count on steady, accountable support when it matters most.
